Vibrant London is the capital of new and exciting trends in jazz. Seed. is a ten-piece ensemble of London’s most exciting young jazz musicians, led by alto saxophonist and composer Cassie Kinoshi. With their West African and Caribbean-influenced groove, Seed. explores a mixture of different genres. Their music effortlessly transcends borders. From the township jazz of South Africa to the dubstep of today, from the soul jazz of the 1960s to the hip hop of the present day. And when Afrobeat and West African highlife are cloned with (Afro-)British jazz as if it were the easiest thing in the world, the result is the typical Sound of Seed.
