Useful information
about the performance

Sharon Eyal is one of the very best choreographers of our time; like Hofesh Shechter, she hails from the legendary Batsheva Dance Company. In 2025, she triumphed at the Düsseldorf Festival with her acclaimed production “Soul Chain” for tanzmainz. Now she returns with her latest outstanding production, “Delay the Sadness”, for her own company S-E-D (Sharon EyalDance), which premiered at the last Ruhrtriennale and was received with rapturous acclaim. Eight dancers each develop their own unique energy and expressiveness; classical ballet figures flash into view and are immediately deconstructed; music, emotions and bodies merge. For Sharon Eyal, dance is far more than just movement – it is life itself.

Continuation of life after death.
Continuation of sadness and purity.
Continuation of mother.
emotions
memories
I remember, recall, imagine, dream
Dancing… breathing… suffocating… stopping
