At the beginning of the year, the Düsseldorf pianist and composer Sebastian Gahler met the young trumpeter Jakob Bänsch. The inspired interplay between the two musicians left both musicians and the audience wanting more. This is why there is now a new edition of this encounter in the Theaterbar. Jakob Bänsch is one of the most sought-after talents on the German jazz scene. At the end of April, he released his debut album “Opening” on the “Jazzline” label. The Süddeutsche Zeitung writes that Jakob Bänsch “stands so powerfully and confidently in the succession of classical masters in his field that one can well imagine a glittering career for the newcomer”.
