about the performance
The Düsseldorf pianist Tilo Bunnies developed a passion for jazz early on in his life. He lived in sunny California for twelve years, performed at the most important festivals there and won first prize at the legendary Pacific Coast Jazz Festival in Berkeley in 1991. His musical role models include the pianists Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Cedar Walton and Monty Alexander. He is supported on double bass by Konstantin Wienstroer, who is firmly established in the local jazz scene and has also achieved international success with his virtuoso solos and sensitive accompanying style. The trio is completed by Wuppertal drummer Tim Heinz, who counts Jeff Hamilton and Joe Morello among his idols.
