Rising

The Lyyra Ensemble is a brand-new American women’s vocal ensemble, supported by VOCES8, a group much loved in Düsseldorf. The ensemble’s name, Lyyra, quite literally reaches for the stars, as it refers to the constellation named after the lyre of the mythical singer Orpheus. The backgrounds of the six singers could not be more diverse, ranging from classical vocal training through jazz and pop to folk. This results in an enormous stylistic breadth and a fascinating spectrum of timbres, which come together to form a cohesive, unmistakable ensemble sound: brilliant, velvety, crystal-clear and sensationally present.
