about the performance
From the unique English a cappella tradition comes the legendary octet Voces8, which has already earned storms of applause at the festival several times. The three female and five male singers formed in 2003 from former choristers of the famous Westminster Abbey. Since then, the eight have established themselves on concert stages around the world as a phenomenally versatile ensemble that has indeed mastered the entire breadth of the repertoire from early polyphony to groovy jazz and pop arrangements, technically perfect and with an unconventionally fresh appearance. The Brits are now coming to Düsseldorf with a programme revolving around the eternal theme of love, spanning a wide range of works from 16th century Palestrina to contemporary Arvo Pärt.
