about the performance
Frank Volke is very familiar with the Beckerath organ in St. Andrew’s Church, having worked as a church musician for no less than 23 years at the former court church of St. Andrew. He also works as a freelance musician and lecturer and has been a loyal “repeat offender” at the festival for as long as anyone can remember. This time he interprets important key works of the classical and romantic repertoire: Ludwig van Beethoven’s famous Sonata in C minor op. 13, known as the “Pathétique”, and Franz Schubert’s posthumously published Sonata in C minor.
Admission is free, donations are requested.
