about the performance
With the composer Pablo Caminero on double bass, Moisés P. Sánchez on piano and Borja Barrueta on drums, the Caminero Trio will be performing at the festival for the first time with its program “Al Toque”, which takes up classical guitar themes and falsetas, i.e. virtuoso improvised variations of flamenco, and works them up imaginatively. Pablo Caminero was once classically trained in Vienna and has developed a pronounced weakness for the combination of flamenco and jazz. Moisés P. Sánchez is currently one of Europe’s leading pianists and percussionist Borja Barrueta describes himself as an autodidact who is characterized by great stylistic diversity.
