The trumpeter, flugelhorn player and composer Markus Stockhausen is in a class of his own in the exciting gray area between jazz, improvisation and new music. He is bringing three members of his Markus Stockhausen Group to Düsseldorf, which is made up of the best in their field, as well as the award-winning Ukrainian vocal virtuoso Tamara Lukacheva as a guest soloist. The intuitively improvising quintet presents compositions from the new album “Celebration” and its predecessor “Tales” and promises an infectious joy of playing that is always in search of the “magic moment” on stage.
