Useful information
about the performance

What would the festival be without its tried-and-tested regulars, who reinvent themselves time and again? The Canadian formation “Les 7 doigts de la main (The 7 Fingers)” has also been a guest in the theater tent on Burgplatz several times. The company comes from Montreal, the capital of the New Circus, and is a collective that has been reducing circus to its essence since 2002. Now the ensemble is returning to Düsseldorf with “DUEL Reality”, an unconventional adaptation of the most famous love drama in world literature, William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. Shana Carroll’s creation takes the plot back to the core of her conflict. The stage becomes a pulsating sports arena and the audience experiences the initially playful rivalry between two groups before the game turns bitterly serious.

Les 7 doigts from Canada are one of the best circus companies in the world. Fast-paced acrobatics paired with dance poetry. Don't miss it!
