The group of artists from France is by far the largest at the festival. The festival has been very Francophile right from the start. This is also due to the cultural diversity of the country. After all, the New Circus was decisively characterised here during the early years of the festival. Outstanding dance companies and musicians also performed at the Düsseldorf Festival time and again.
