Cleaning is a chore, but as we all know, everything is easier with music. The new program by Wolfram Goertz, whose listening evenings at the Düsseldorf Festival have long been a cult event, reflects on which music is best suited for what under the title “A little cleaning music”: What do you use to dust off the pictures? What makes scrubbing the parquet so exhilarating? And what do you use to polish the mirror? The music editor of the Rheinische Post presents perfect cleaning music with a twinkle in his eye, ranging from J. S. Bach, Beethoven and Mussorgsky to Genesis, Supertramp, Dire Straits and the Bläck Fööss. The evening under the motto “Assisted listening” promises unusual musical encounters, educational experiences and nostalgic memories. Hilarity not excluded.
