Useful information
about the performance
The Urbanatix project has long since achieved cult status: originally conceived for the RUHR.2010 Capital of Culture, the unique show is a furious mix of urban movement arts such as biking, dance or parkour, artistry, live music and multimedia performance. With “Urbanatix: Essence”, the creators are now moving into the theatre and have concentrated the spectacular show without losing the essentials. “Urbanatix: Essence” tells a story in a dystopian future scenario: a group of people live somewhere at the end of the world with no contact to the rest of civilisation. In this situation, the ensemble of ten multi-talented performers explores the essential questions of life and what actually connects us to our fellow human beings.
