Düsseldorf jazz pianist and composer Sebastian Gahler, who has been one of the most influential voices on the German jazz scene for many years, promises modern jazz. Together with Nico Brandenburg on bass and Ralf Gessler on drums, he forms a well-rehearsed team that stands for sensitive compositions, rhythmic sophistication and a strong live presence. Their music combines melodic catchiness with structural depth – modern jazz that appeals to both head and heart. Following the international success of his last two albums with over 12 million streams worldwide, Gahler is returning to his roots and presenting a concert with the classic Sebastian Gahler Trio in an acoustic line-up for the first time in a long time. For this special performance, the trio will be joined by Matthias Bergmann on trumpet. He is one of the most sought-after jazz trumpeters in Germany. With his clear, warm tone, he brings a new colour to the sound. The four musicians present new original compositions as well as highlights from earlier trio albums. There is plenty of room for musical surprises with an ensemble that knows each other inside out.
