Nico Brandenburg is one of the most sought-after bassists in Germany. His virtuoso playing opens up a rich spectrum that begins with jazz and is far from exhausted when it comes to groove and world music. Together with Denis Gäbel on saxophone and Silvio Morger on drums, Brandenburg presents songs from the Great American Songbook and original compositions by the individual members of his quartet at Blue Lounge Jazz. The musicians interpret and improvise these treasures of early American popular music in their very own way, without losing sight of the jazz tradition. They are guided by their intuition and years of experience and present improvisation and interaction at the highest level.
