Barbara Oxenfort launched the Blue Lounge Jazz series more than 16 years ago as hostess of the theatre bar. Since then, the platform has provided a wonderful stage for a wide variety of ensembles. Traditionally, Barbara Oxenfort herself performs with her own ensemble during the festival. Jazz classics as well as pop and chanson are served up. Witty and refreshingly unpretentious, the charming singer presents uncomplicated jazz. She is accompanied by three instrumentalists who are well-known and sought-after on the scene. Under the auspicious title “Summer Breeze and Love”, the audience can expect the finest vocal jazz. The audience can melt away like ice cubes in a freshly shaken cocktail.
