Nico Brandenburg is one of the most sought-after bassists in Germany. His virtuoso playing opens up an extremely diverse spectrum that begins with jazz and is far from exhausted when it comes to groove and world music. In a quartet with Jörg Kaufmann on saxophone, Andreas Schnermann on piano and Simon Busch on drums, Brandenburg presents songs from the Great American Songbook and original compositions by the individual members at Blue Lounge Jazz. The four musicians interpret these treasures of early American popular music in their very own way, without losing sight of tradition. The musicians are guided by their intuition and experience. Improvisation and interaction take place at the highest level.
