Useful information
about the performance

The “Dialect meets music” series, which Engelbert Oxenfort launched many years ago, will be continued this year in his memory. Members of the Mundartfreunde Düsseldorf will read. The Spiro Wind Quintet could be won over for the musical part. The quintet was founded in spring 2023. The name is derived from Latin and means breath, alluding to the basis of sound production in wind instruments and musical performance in general. The members of the quintet all come from professional orchestras, are active as soloists and have won prizes in several competitions. The musicians, who come from Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and the Netherlands, are committed to interpreting rarely heard and exclusively original works. At the dialect concert, pieces from the musicians’ home countries are played to let their respective “dialects” be heard.

Admission is free, donations are requested.
