The trio consisting of saxophonist Daniel Schnyder, bass trombonist and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra member Stefan Schulz and virtuoso jazz violinist Adam Taubitz promises a musical whirlwind. The performance by the three furious improvisation artists, who do not deny their “classical” roots, is a combination of the celebrated “Handel in Harlem” programme and the fresh new production “VivaldiRevisited”. This reinvention of Handel’s Italian colleague focuses on arias from Vivaldi’s numerous operas, which the trio transforms in an unexpectedly theatrical way. Daniel Schnyder hosts the evening, which moves light-footedly between theatre, drama, opera and concert music.
