Guitar and vocals is an ancient yet dewy combination: simple and poignant, intimate and very personal. Düsseldorf singer-songwriter Tossia Corman and guitarist Philipp van Endert are firmly established on the local and international jazz scene. Philipp van Endert stands for energetic, emotional and at the same time lyrical playing, while Tossia Corman combines pop attitude with the sound aesthetics of jazz and prefers clear structures that leave room for improvisation. Corman says of her very own style: “Rooted in jazz, with her head in the clouds of pop, hip-hop in her heart and soul at her back.” The duo presents their favourite songs for recognition and rediscovery.
