Elina Albach and her Ensemble Continuum continue to fascinate audiences in Düsseldorf with their surprising interpretations of early music. The musicians are searching for the common roots of every kind of music in the firm conviction that old and new songs tell much more together than on their own. In a trio line-up, the formation now dedicates itself to the song collections of exceptional artists: the Icelandic pop and performance star Björk and the baroque composer Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, both of whom deal with mythological stories and mythical creatures. The US composer Caroline Shaw, who is not restricted to any particular genre, bridges the gap between the two.
