More than 17 years ago, Barbara Oxenfort launched the Blue Lounge Jazz series as host in the theatre bar. Since then, this popular platform has provided a wonderful stage for a wide variety of ensembles. Traditionally, Barbara Oxenfort plays a concert with her own quartet during the festival. The audience can look forward to jazz classics as well as selected
songs from the pop and chanson genres. With charm, humour and a charismatic voice, the Düsseldorf singer presents uncomplicated vocal jazz, stylish and unpretentious. She is accompanied by three renowned instrumentalists who are at home in the most diverse musical contexts of the German and international scene. Together they create a rousing concert experience – authentic, lively and very close to the audience. A concert for jazz lovers – and for everyone who wants to be touched: Dance me to the end of love.
