We received a very special project as a gift for our 35th anniversary. It came to us after all the programmes had already been printed.

The Spirit of Woodstock ist ein beindruckender Zeitzeugenbericht über das legendäre Rockereignis von vier noch lebenden Verantwortlichen der damaligen Festivalleitung.

Rona Elliot was the festival’s PR manager and became the best-known music journalist in America in the 1970s. Ticia Bermuth was the assistant to organiser Michael Lang and was involved in all financial and artistic aspects of the festival. Edward Herbert Beresford “Chip” Monk was the technical director and was also considered Woodstock’s master of ceremonies, making all the announcements, for example, and finally Henry Diltz, Woodstock’s exclusive photographer, whose pictures of the festival became legendary. He later photographed many iconic album covers of the great rock stars. These four personalities, now almost all in their 80s, take us on a journey back in time to the late 60s and tell us about the incredible events surrounding the biggest rock spectacle of all time. Combined with a projection of the most impressive photographs, they provide an insight that only contemporary witnesses can give. Click here to go directly to the event.
