The Shaolin monks of the monastery in Dengfeng performed in the production Sutra by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui in 2009 and 2018 in the theatre tent at the Düsseldorf Festival. The Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo from Lasah performed in the Neanderkirche in 2002.
