Copenhagen-based pianist Johanna Borchert and Berlin-based double bassist Miles Perkin form a duo that, under the banner \u2018The Match\u2019, engages in a dynamic dialogue on equal terms. For the word \u2018match\u2019 has many meanings, oscillating between connection, competition and conflict. This ambiguity forms the basis for this new ensemble, which combines extended playing techniques with songwriting and pop music, shifting between abstract and catchy sounds.
