Around 30 invited guests, journalists, employees and friends of the festival came to Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse in D\u00fcsseldorf to experience the premiere of the almost half-hour documentary \u201cBehind the Curtain &#8211; How to D\u00fcsseldorf Festival\u201d by the two D\u00fcsseldorf filmmakers Dimitri Sapountzis and Jan-Philip Stahl. Sapountzis filmed behind and in front of the scenes during the 2023 festival and conducted lengthy interviews with the two artistic directors. The result is a touching work about the courageous beginning in the early nineties and the perseverance in the following years to overcome the highs and lows of the cultural enterprise.
